Remember not to judge a tv by what you see at the store. A lot of times stores like bestbuy (who mainly sell refurbished junk) don't have the premium connections needed in order to see a difference between pictures. Make sure to check the connections yourself and try to take home a tv to see what it looks like in your environment.
My little advice is to just pickup a 42" toshiba 42h83 rptv...rptv's have come a long way and are the best bang for buck. Onecall.com (authorized dealer) has them for $1250ish SHIPPED to your doorstep.
