I like the sand in the one tank is sand harder to maintain then gravel? Anywho I want to get a simple tank maybe something like 6-10 gallons. Also what is a good cleaning system to make my tank clean. Any pointers would be greatly apperciated.

Corey.

tips:

The bigger the tank the better.
Have a filter that filters the tank 8-10+ times and hour.
heater = 3watts per gallon
Water conditioner
2-3 inches of gravel or sand of your choice.
some type of cover with light
Basic water test kit (for ammonia, nitrite, ph)
Water syphon

just basics.

If your serious about getting stated here are some sites that will give you all the infomation you need to answer all your questions.
