srt4's are no joke..very good base car to mod and be fast..but just bolt ons aren't goin to get u as far as a fully built race head..
understand the gearing..and the powerband of a ITR > srt anyday.. a 4.7 fd wont get you far pass 120mph in a race.. but having a powerband from 3500~9k is pretty large.. vs the 1500~6500 of a srt4

Stock 00 si with a greddy kit off the fmu on a hondata s200
Stock 94 gsr with a procharger kit on 10 psi tuned on crome pro
gsr hatch with a 50 shot from a dig
the list goes on.. i've even raced a car that has 540rwhp and hung with him until about 90..
point i'm tryin to make is this.. power to weight has alot to do with it..and also notice when the roll races were happening.. the itr was at a very high rev, probably 7.5k+ for those rolls thats IMMDENT power to the wheels whereas the srt has to wait for the boost.. that race was from a mid 30~40 punch up until probably around 110 and the itr held that lead all the way threw.. but i promise u this...
that itr motor wise probably had a good 2 grand in the head and another 2~3 in bolt ons..clean bolt ons and a tune.. all motor cars aren't cheap.. i know.

what kind of numbers are you putting down, na'd? I'm a firm believer when it comes to power to weight ratio...you wouldn't believe how many times a day I get into arguments with ppl about that. Yesterday a charger owner would not shut the hell up about his srt8...I told him to get in touch with me once I get my next project rolling
