Actually there are so many differences between the k20a3 and k20a2 that its a real pain trying to piecewise upgrade a k20a3. The 7k redline of the a3 makes it a bad mate for the close geared 6-spd from the a2. The bottom end of the a3 is what makes life difficult. Low compression and only half the counterweights on the crank. But the a3 responds very well to boost. It is essentially the k-series version of a b18b.
