If you're getting a complete engine harness (From engine, through the firewall, to the ECU) and OEM ECU, why NOT use the harness they give you?

My friend had a B16B in his '98 EX, and whatever harness was used, there were no extra wires ran at all. It was a complete/untouched oem harness. Granted it may have been an Si harness, I'm not positive, but I would be that it was the b16B harness he received with the swap.

In my opinion, people make wiring harder to be than it should. If you have the full and uncut harness from engine to ECU, just yank out the entire engine harness that is currently in the car, and string through the one with the swap. Clean and oem-like.

The other issue with using your DX harness is, I think your car is obd2-b, meaning it would have different ecu clips than the obd2(a) JDM ecu. I may be wrong, but it just saves a headache to use the harness provided with your swap.
