what i'm saying is a stock ecu, whether its obd0,1 or 2, is better than any ecu w/ a generic program. skunk2 offers a programmed ecu that works good for a skunk2 engine....but a fully programmed ecu would be exponentially better. skunk2 is not a completely generic chip since they bring out more potential from motors w/ skunk2 internals, however in the sense of your car's individual characteristics (bolt-ons, mileage, wear, etc), then it's still considered a "generic" program. jet, ebay-"mugen" etc etc are fully generic chips and should be avoided at all times.

do a search, this has been covered many times.
