Do you have real life mileage to go by? All I've seen are the EPA estimates and they're 30/40mpg for A/T and 30/38mpg for M/T. Their curb weights range from ~2600lbs for a DX to over 2900lbs for an Si sedan. The 2dr A/T EX he is looking at is said to weigh 2769lbs. That's still a few hundred pounds lighter than the new Lancers and it's rated for 8-9mpg more. I'd definitely expect the Civic to outlast the Lancer.
