The rotary engine has a modular design, meaning you can sandwich as may chambers together as you want as long as you have the center shaft.
Take standard RX's which have only 2 rotors giving them 1.3 litres of displacement and you get around 200hp stock (on turbo model). Take a 3Rotor motor from a cosmo, convert it to standard (only came auto) and you got the sickest power/litre around.

Anyone ever see the 3rotor in a hachi? Defines what a 2.0L rotary can do...
