Thats about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Screens not only allow small dirt and fragments to enter the turbo, but it's been dyno proven that they create power loss. They induce turbulence right at the turbo inlet. Running the turbo opened produced more on the dyno vs. the screen, and a K&N beat the screen and running opened entirely on the dyno. This is attributed to the fact that the filter actually straightens the air and increases flow overall.
