that's a half inch more drop than the eibach kit. so...yeah...a half inch lower does make a difference. struts don't affect how much the car drops...they damp compression and rebound cycles...also why they are referred to as dampers. basically tokico illuminas or konis...stay away from the KYB agx...I've put them on a few vehicles, and while they are a cheap alternative, they don't hold up as well, or in my opinion, offer anywhere near as nice a ride.
and the eibach pro kit is fairly unmatched as far as a small drop with a nice progressive rate spring...I have H&Rs and they ride pretty well on my 5th gen on koni yellows...
