When I had my Chevy and installed my subs..I had to buy a line out converter. A line out converter is only necessary if you still have your factory head unit. Most aftermarket head units have an output...but for the factory ones..tap into your rear speakers and connect your line out converter which converts the sound signal to RCA's which will connect to your amp.
