ok, so i'm trying to install subs for a buddy of mine, and i've hit a road block or two. first road block was i was trying to do it for him in about 30 minutes with literally no tools at all in the wal mart parking lot. hah, but i won't get into that. i got everything hooked up, wires hidden and everything, and i was testing it out. when i turned the car on i noticed this really loud whirring noise, almost like a really loud 6 inch, or so, fan. i went to the back of the car and the noise was coming from the rear factory speakers. it was really weird. also, the subs were getting no power, or something, because they were not working. when i pulled the rca wires from the back of the amp, the whirring stopped. i don't understand what the rca's would have to do with the factory system. i tried moving the ground to different places, moving the remote wire, everything i could think of on the spot. and the sub worked, because i tried it in my car with my system and it was working fine. i also don't exactly know what's going on, because the amp does not have a light on it indicating if it is on or not. makes this a lot more difficult... it may be a amp problem, i'm not sure. has anyone seen this before or know of anything that may work to fix it?
btw, pioneer HU, Sony Xplod 15'' sub, and i'm not completely positive on the brand of the amp, but it's 750 watt.

i can get more information if y'all need it, it's just in someone else's car and not readily available.
