Biggest reason I tip is because my mom used to be a waitress.
They do get a paycheck but its about half on minimum wage. Typically $4.
Some people don't tip at all. Other people think that they own a waiter or waitress why they are in the resturant. If you have never dealt with the public then its tough to explain. People are a pain in the ass
Now to the question. I tip standard for normal service. I tip about 10% for shitty service.
I tip about 30% for great service. I like to make peoples days
And for the bar
If I'm at a busy bar, I will tip as high as 50%, this basically ensures that I will get my next drink at a faster rate than the guy next to me. It also help to get hella mixed drinks
