Ive got a 1992 EG Hatch with B16A. To my understanding I should be able to bolt up the JRSC Kit for the 99-00 Civic with B16A2 (#989-250). Is this correct? It should clear the firewall, and align right up? Does this use the M62 blower? I was informed before that the M62 runs cooler and more efficiently. Let me know if I am in the right direction with the right kit.

yes, maybe, and yes. The maybe part is that I know someone with a JDM B16A that was slightly different than the 99-00 B16A2 as far as lining up the belts and pulleys, and he never got it to work. Maybe if he had a competent mechanic do it, it might have worked but he was trying it himself.
Do you know what about the alignment of the belts was the issue? Something that machining a few thousands of an inch off a bracket would correct? Do we know of any JDM B16A that have been successful with this kit?
Is the Vortech a better solution for a JDM B16A?

If I remember correctly, he just needed to put some washers around the alternator bolts or something but never got around to it? It's been quite a while, maybe 4 years.
But do you know of any others who were successful with their installs on a JDM B16A? Any issues with a Vortech install? Id prefer JRSC, but if Vortech is a better fit for the JDM engine I may be persuaded.
