Changed Muffler Lost Boost

I had a 3 chamber muffler on my car that way it would be relatively quiet. I changed to a better flowing muffler (gs x10) But I noticed I lost some boost. I was running around 8 pounds now I am right below 7. Is this common? If not any ideas? Btw the car is running the same.

Better flow = lower boost.

does that mean that you loose power, or that the engine is just running more efficiently and doesent need as much boost?

it flows better so there not as much restriction therefore actual less boost. Not less power though. Usually you dont see a drop in psi becasue of a muffler more so with a change from stock manifold to a header. Or a ported head.
