How many miles til maintenance/tune-up is required on the JRSC?

Sorry I'm a total noob on FI. I just got a GS-R with the JRSC and wonder how long I get to play with it until I need to do something....What parts usually need to be replaced or serviced?

Usually nothing unless your overspinning it. But as said above always keep an eye on the belts. A couple places sell the oil. GM dealer, magnusson, Ford dealer amoung others.

Do I take it to a mechanic or can it be done easily by anyone...on the belts I mean. How many belts are there? And how long do you think it'll take to change the belts?

I change mine about every 10k or so. It take about 15 min to do. If you can change your oil you can change a belt.

Could you tell me how to do it please? I really want to be able to do it by myself...cuz every 10k miles...that's alot of money to spend on mechanics... If I don't change it often like they recommended then the car's performance would really suffer?

Belts when they look worn or jump off. 12,000 at most.
Oil every 45,000.
Snout rebuild after 80,000.

Push on them when the car is turned off. They shouldn't deflect (move) much; 1/4 to 1/2 an inch. Note: you don't want them so tight that they don't move, they need a little give or are more prone to jump.
