Intake for Supercharger

Hey guys I just wanted to know what is the best intake to run for jrsc. Im currently just running the stock airbox with the K&n drop in fliter but I want to get tuned pretty soon so I want to know what is the best intake to use.

i've heard a regular short ram with 3"piping and a good filter works great. but i've wondered this question myself. i'm planning on going jrsc as soon as i get the money together and i've wanted to use my stock airbox but modify it, i've come across this DIY Icebox Cold Air Intake instructions dont know if your interested in doing it but its worth looking over. i'm just worried about all the heat under the hood as soon as i supercharge it and wanted a cai type system while looking stock at the same time.

So what could be better :

Stock cold air box

Or for e.g. Weapon R cold air box

Or simple cold air intake

Or short intake

any proven dyno tests ?

(My setup should be around 8 PSI)

Thanks

I prefered the CAI over the SRI. I never tried the modified stock box with a JRSC but can tell you that on a N/A car, a CAI gives cooler intake temps than a modified stock box, so I would expect the same to be true on a car equipped with JRSC.

I believe without dyno proven tests on same car with different intake setups, its just theory about which one is better

Fight must go on

If serious, I have a question:

I think of usimg my 5'' Simota filter, I dont know will i be good or not
So I need piping, as for supercharger anyway no intake kit will fit, i guess need to cut shorter piping ... (so I dont want to buy expensive kit and cut it)

Better would be to buy cheap kit and use its 3 piping or make custom piping ???

Thanks

You could do custom piping, but I would recommend aluminum over steel or PVC (I've seen them both done and they look hideous). Or get an Injen CAI for cheap on ebay and hack it up, knowing that you most likely won't sell it again... that's what I did. Sunk cost.
