This thread is for all those who have had experience with the Jackson Racing SuperCharger. Please list your opinions. Both Positive and Negative. Likes and Dislikes. Is it worht getting one? If so Which one the Basic or Race? Will both work on a stock 00 GSR motor? What are you recomendations Please all your replies are appreciated. Thank you.
All opinions are relative and usually bias considering this is the SC forum. But if you are planning to not build the setup any more than what it is set for except for supporting mods and for tuning, then yes its a good upgrade.
Both base and race will work on stock engine. Its not like its going to be an overly excessive setup anywyas compared to massive boost on a turbo.
The race is basically more companents and higher boost, ehich most people uprade to anyways but buy parts infividually.
Heatsoak is a bitch. Tuning is key. Read up and you'll be fine.

Non-intercooled setups max out around 250whp. Intercooled up to 300whp.
300whp setups are very rare and not easy to achieve. Ussually they involve 2l motors, intercooled, and highboost (10-12psi after intercooler).
A well put together JRSC/GSR setup on stock boost should make around 220whp.

well for rite now im looking to make somewhere around 220-230whp. For stock everything. Sound good? Pretty quick? This is my first time going FI.
M62 is good for a lot of power actually. But the fact that its mated up tot he B18 it just doesn't make that much power. Keep in miond its also used in OEM chevies.
M90 and M112 are used in Fords and whatnot.

Yes, it'll support 275whp+ in stock form; 450cfm.
About 300whp in ported form; ~530cfm.
Mods: Fully built LS, GSR trans W/ LSD, Synapse ramhorn kit.
For best results: Tune with standalone. Period. I used the FMU and MAP Controller. They work fine but my setup on Hondata and RC 440s feels much better. No more bogging and no worries.

i love my supercharger on my 2000 prelude and I think jackson racing is a good company...had a problem recently with a idler pulley and they send me what i needed brand new with no questions asked...and it gave me right about 220 whp and about 195 ft.-lbs of torque.
Mods: B18c,lsd,tein flex, JR SC,all the goodies, spent way too much...pls don't tell my wife! build web page located at https://sites.google.com/site/95hatchproject/Home
I'm now working with a second JR SC. The first is on a jdm b18c and is stock with the map controller. Everything seems to work great. Plenty of t for a weekend driver and the SC (vs t) makes if fun on the back roads with lots of turns. It runs very rich with the stock setup (car runs a full time WB o2). I had a chance to drive a similar setup, but it had the pulley kit and a stand alone. I thought mine was fast....the extra 3psi and tuning seems made a huge difference. My second SC will have a stand alone and will be around 7-9 psi.
Two other important items...evaluate the cooling system and make sure it is sized correct. Also, if you don't have a good tempurature gauge, get one. I was running the stock honda civic temp gauge for about one month. It wasn't til I added an Autometer that I realized the actual temp.
My Autometer can move from 160 to 200 and the stock gauge stayed at the center.

Stock operating temps are 190-210 degrees F. So when its in the middle, its within that range. Stock just doesn't have the markings on there because all that should matter is you are cold, in operating temp, or overheating.
