Piston ? for the Guru's...

Well, I decided to finally buy the pistons/rods for my
SC build-up, and wanted these pistons:
http://www.crower.com/cgi-bin/detail...rod_id=99284-4
SRP's, +.010 overbore, 10.5:1 comp., (stock is 9:1).
And these rods: http://www.crower.com/cgi-bin/detail..._id=ML93745B-4.
MAXI-LIGHT 4340 STEEL BILLET RODS
Quote:
The Crower "All Motor" rod utilizes Crower's new Maxi-Light, shape that features a unique Radial Beam design. The Radial Beam Technology "RBT" design is a Crower exclusive and allows Crower engineers to remove excess material without compromising overall strength. The result is a connecting rod that weighs approximately 100 grams less than our standard forced induction/nitrous designs for greater throttle response and a lighter rotating/reciprocating mass. Also can be used in moderate boost/nitrous applications (15 lbs/75 shot max ). Specify "ML" before the rod part number when ordering. Most units are in-stock.
Is this safe/"do-able" with 8lbs of boost? Money is not
an object, since I don't think it'll cost too much, and
the piston/rod money I saved in a month, and I can
wait if it takes longer to save up for any added costs
or tuning. Thanks for any replys or alternative suggestions.
Also, any cam choices/favorites would be appreciated.
This is for a D16Z6; I had one picked out on their site,
but I guess their's no "love" for the D series anymore?

Those will be perfect for your setup 10.5:1 is about as high as I would go with the JRSC. Im wanting to go 10:1 but 10.5 is just fine....of course tune tune tune..

Thanks for the reply, man. Any other thoughts or
opinions on these ideas? I don't really drive the Sol too
much, and I certainly don't "rag" on it, but everyone I
talk too about it says: "You're going to blow your engine".
I just want maximum 0-65 power. Also, does
anyone know where I can get a cam for a D16Z6
that'll compliment what I'm trying to do? The
Crower website seems to have "discontinued" the
SOHC options. I guess I'll call on Monday and check.
I wanted titanium rods, but they're gone from the site too.

Well, the rods are on their way, but they no longer sell SRP pistons, so I'll have to find another place. Any good websites? Anyone?

SCdLS is on a distinguished road
Im running OEM GSR pistons in my LS for a 10:1. Only going to be running 6psi though, so did not feel need to get forged units

The rods are here: God, they are beautiful! Still looking for a good place to buy pistons? FedEx listed
them at 1lb., but IDK...felt heftier than that. BEEFY!

Well, they look kinda' "beefy", for a D16Z6, an engine,
when stock, sounds like a sewing machine idling; WITH
the hood up!
