I have a 91 Integra with a 99' LS motor I just purchased. I am trying to decide what route to go with my car. I just want a somewhat quick car that will be reliable as possible. I am torn between all the options. I think im down to these 2 S/C or nitrous. With the nitrous its easy maintence easy to install and cheapest. I could probally run a 75 shot and have a pretty quick car; But I have to worry about filling the bottle. The S/C'r is constant power; pricey but u can get one on ebay for cheaper.Love the sound and the instant power. But i have done a lil reading on here with people who have S/C'd LS' and there not making much power for what you pay.
Anyone with an LS motor have any opinions?

Don't have an LS, but I have a friend with an LS turbo, and that thing is fun and fast, it's a lot cheaper than a s/c. I would probably go that route if that's what your into

dont have an LS motor. but fyi JRSC is about 2k for a new one. thats a lot cheaper than a turbo setup. it all depends what you want. theres more potential in a turbo setup. with nitrous, it will be unevenly distributed in each cylinder if you choose wet or dry. your best bet is direct port+tuning. and that will get expensive too. not to mention, it isnt all that healthy for your motor.
if it were me, there is no comparison. FI FTW

I agree. SC will still net you 180whp with a JRSC, or over 200 with a vortech. That will move your car down the 1/4 in high 13 seconds or low 14's. Plent of power. N2O will just blow your shit up unless you go direct port + tuning, and at that point you might as well just go FI.
You can also peice together a turbo kit for about the same as SC.

1991 LS Special Ed- Sold.
1997 GSR- 192whp 130wtq all motor. SOLD
1991 GS- automatic daily driver. FOR SALE. $1500 PM for details.
1998 Nissan 240SX SE New!
And a 2000 Suzuki SV650
A high 13 would be quick enough for me. I really like S/C setups but its just the money/power gain ratio isnt all that great but then again they are the most reliable of the choices.

Well I found some JRSC on ebay for $700 not bad. I didnt find any used Vortech systems. I looked on there website and the cheapest one is $3,000 :eek It makes really good power; btu cost alot more than the JRSC. why does it make 20+ more WHP than the JRSC? Because of the aftercooler? Also can I use a B20 or B18C1 GSR JRSC on my ls motor?

n/m i just read the sticky of JRSC vs Vortech. Very good read. I think I will go with the JRSC if I go S/C. But I still need to know if I can use a B20 or B18C1 GSR system on a LS motor?

Dont' do it because you can't in your DA body. Just go turbo or gas it up.
The B20 is the same as the B18b kit. GSR kit is different and won't work. Uses larger blower and different IM design.
