Should be OK but read the Guide to Supercharging sticky here and automatically plan for the "Higher Boost Setup" and/or "Project Standalone" right off the bat. The high compression of the Type-R demands that you get it tuned well with a competent dyno/ECU tuner. For your setup, I would highly recommend starting with the standalone ECU so that you can ditch the need for FMUs, jump up to bigger injectors, and get Walbro Fuel pump to supply everything. Once that is done, it will be fine and definitely worth doing. I still cherish the ride I got around the race track in a 5.5 PSI'd ITR to this day, and that was on the JR FMU. Now that better ECU technology is there to unleash more power safely, along with 8 PSI, you'd have quite the track screamer!

Thanks for the advice. I have a hondata S200 with boost option that came with the kit. I will keep you updated on the progress. My main concern was to much heat and stress on the bottem end.

Bonus! The fact that it already comes with Hondata with boost is awesome. Heat will be an issue, stress not much. It's mostly in the tuning, but there may be some other things to consider like the hondata intake gasket, or the LHT intercooler if you're interested in spending some more money on that. Water injection is another option, but I'm not sure I trust it from some of the things I've heard.

Its a great idea only and I mean only if you tune for it. Higher octane cooler temps what not to like? Well filling the jug. No boost drop well if you inj before the blower you actually gain boost.

What's not to like is that water doesn't compress. Too much water from a malfunction and bye-bye engine.

I would be more concerned of plugging up a nozzel than spraying too much. The nozzels arent adjustable so thats fixed to what ever size you get and on the snow performance you can dial in the pump pressure. but if you pick a good nozzle size and run the pump at the high setting how would you get more water? Its not like you will be sucking up a mud puddle like with a CAI kit. They are running 100-175 ml/min nozzles thats not that much. Here alot of info http://www.snowperformance.net/forum/index.php hope that link doesnt break any forum rules.
