Supercharger Problem
I know this has nothing to do with honda but anyone answers who knows their shite about superchargers i'd appreciate it.
I was reving my engine, heard a loud bang (yeah) and lost boost. I took the supercharger off and the manifold is cracked, which would explain the loss of boost. But the supercharger itself, when i turn it by hand it seems like there's a lot of scraping going on but the bearings are fine. I'm thinking maybe it sucked something in through the air intake? I need to know if worm gears are supposed to touch at all or not?

sorry, no idea. but you might get more help in the supercharger section...I'll redirect the thread there.
Is it a JRSC? You could probably contact Jackson Racing and ask them.

Yeah its a jackson. I"m actually trying to take it apart, got the first housing peice off hahaha spilled a bunch of stinky oil everywhere! Its one of the bearings that arnt seated properly making the second worm gear move ever so slightly. But thanx anyways. I guess i should've kept it at 6 psi like they recommend lol at least it didn't explode and shoot me in the face!
FYI Jackson racing are a bunch of assholes! They won't even return my calls.
I have to drive 400k+ to go to the nearest supplier!

The gears in the nose touch. The blower rotors do not. There should be no grinding.

fyi Moss Motors bought out jackson racing superchargers. maybe you are just unfortunate, but whenever i call(and ive called atleast 3 times) i get good informative service and i usually end up buying things and it ships FAST.

Moss motors? I didn't know that. I was just calling the place i bought it. jr distributor. I can't really claim any sort of guarantee issue since i was overboosting 4 psi without the "JACKSON RACING" boost kit. But thanx anyway, and if anyone has any rebuild info that would be nice.

yeah they allow individual parts for sale, just look at www.supercharger.com (same JR website, just different name, minus JR.) and go to 'contact' and give them a call or email them, they returned my email in like a day or 2 but i got them on the phone in 5 min...talk with the guys on the phone im sure they can help you somehow. i ordered the wrong belt once, and returned it, they even refunded my return shipping fee in addition to the belt. maybe the recent bad reports are due to the new ownership, and people are conacting JR distributors, not moss motors?
they do good for me.

JR had always gone through Moss Motors even when JR was with them. People just didn't know about it. And going through the distributor is not the same as going through Moss Motors. Its a totally different thing. Its really a hit and miss with them.
But if you know the part number, you can order it here.

I believe its an M45 its for a b18 or any b motor i think. Except Vtec ones not sure they might have been different but anyways i'm trying to find instructions on how to rebuild it. All i can find is VORTECH rebuild instructions! And i don't have 2g to drop on another one unfortunately.
