Question Supercharging Auto 2k Civic

I have a slush box automatic. It has about 22k miles and everything works perfectly. I'm thinking of supercharging but I need to make the car as reliable as it was stock. I won't mind spending a bit more to get more reliability. As I've read, the stock tranny can't take too much punishment so what can I do to beef up the tranny? Torque converter?

Also, I don't want to swap out the auto for manual cuz my bro still drives it and he gets stuck in traffic a lot so that won't be good. Here's the list of things besides the SC that I will be getting:

1. JR high-output fuel pump
2. Colder spark plugs from JR
3. Torque converter? [need help here!]
4. Maybe an Ignition upgrade

Also this is not a daily driven car either. I drive it about twice a week and my bro drives it twice a week. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Pikachu, I'm in the same situation. I would run high boost with a turbo, but I'm in college and don't have time to run the car to the shop often because of tweaking. Where I live, 6lbs of boost on an auto ex will take alot of ricers around here.
Oh yeah, do you really need to beef up the tranny or buy a Torque converter if your gonna run a JRSC with 6 lbs of boost? I'm assuming thats what your gonna run, if not I would think you'd need more stuff in your list of things to buy to safely run more on your engine.

Nope, I'm just going to run 6lbs. Over time, the tranny will break done first according to some accounts of people. Actually, I'm going to really reinforce the tranny. I'm going to buy the PTS kit from levelten to somewhat beef up the stock transmission some more and getting a torque converter also from them.

Also, if I really wanted to run a turbo which might happen later on down the road, I could just swap out the tranny for a manual. Real cheap these days! Or I could go the expensive route and buy one of those so called "bulletproof" auto trannys from Levelten. Interesting idea but the cheaper route would tell me to swap out the tranny for a manual.

Pikachu, if you plan on wanting alot of hp in the future then you might hit a wall with your engine. Ever think about an engine swap, like a GSR motor? I'd be cheaper and you'd get my hp/tq than putting a SC on a d16y8 motor, plus it has more potential. I thought of doing that, but I decided when I get my masters I'm just going to keep the civic as a daily driver and build up a rx-7 or supra. The civics going to be a bad ass daily driver lol.
