Thanks man.
Yeah I hate passengers! .
Nice video, looks like your car pulls pretty hard. Gotta love 1900-2000 lbs crx's .

Very nice, I will be referring to you once I begin upgrading my b16 del sol. At what rpm does it reach its peak hp? How much did you spend on tuning?
Thanks and keep up the good work!

peak power is at redline for me, should be the same for b16s. but torque is present throughout the rpms. very wide powerband.
my tuner(and most places) charge about 80 to chip the ecu, and 140ish per hour on the dyno. i only needed one hour. so 220 for crome(free). if you use hondata, then add the cost of whatever hondata you buy.

Nice and clean; pretty wicked. Post this in the sol section
too. Sounds awesome. I wanted 200whp from my D16
when I finally get it all together, but you're making 198
with a B16, so maybe I'll have to re-think some shit .
I have a ton of shit to install before the SC, though, (which
I bought in 2001(?), figuring they'd discontinue it for
92-95's, and have been upgrading everything else ever
since for the "big install"). I can't wait for that day.

Thanks man.
I think your Goal with a D16 may be "possible" with a big build up with a great tune. With a mild setup, your looking more towards 165-175whp 130-140wtq. Even at that, your car would feel like a whole new car due to the great powerband. Is the supercharger going into a Del Sol?
Remember, im still using stock ECU and just piggyback engine management (FMU, JR MAP, Stock injectors)
I'm actually surprised how nice and smooth the car runs with the piggyback stuff. I guess I just got lucky. Id like to go to a real E-management someday (hondata s200-s300) and get the 440 injectors and go with the 10psi pulley with water injection lol. Hmmmm... some day

Yeah...here's my baby:
I was e-mailing RC on injector sizes, since I'd bought
some 270cc ones from inlinefour, and the dude said
don't install them until you go to 10lbs boost, (since
I told him I was planing on it), because it'd run too
rich without the extra boost . IDK...I have
links to several good tuner shops in my area, so
maybe they can help in that area when the time
comes. And you're welcome, BTW. Keep it clean .

if youre looking for power made on a JRSC D series, check my setup. d16z6/other mods, made 143whp/120wtq on 5psi. and yes, it felt much like a new car due to the power band. the funny thing is, on the way home i was going through a slight curve and lightly got on the gas low in 2nd and lost some traction i was like wtf lol..
but i just pieced together my custom stg2 boost kit-
d16y8 crank pulley
3.2' JR blower pulley
dsm 450cc injectors
hondata intake manifold gasket
^^shooting for 10-11psi/170whp/140wtq when those items get on the car and tuned

What's the MAX setup, in your opinion? I'm thinking
of getting forged pistons, (higher compression: 10:X,
and rods, the Crower LW ones, better than stock and
advertised as perfect for SC'd forced induction). I
was thinking of their Stage 2 cam, too? Any advice
before I buy would be cool !
EDIT: I was just rereading your mods: would the
duty cycle be too much for 270cc's at 10lbs of boost,
or was the RC rep "blowing smoke up my ass"? That
would suck if they were too small, because they cost
me $300+/-.

buying fuel injectors should be based on how much power you think you are going to make. let me see if i can do some searching for you and find the adequate chart. while 270-310 would be ample for a NA setup, i think the general set of dsm 450s would cover you.
in the meantime, if i were changing the internals, i'd just go turbo. more power.
ok back from search journey :
Determining What Injector Size to Get
www.rceng.com
i think 370s would be good for you. i just went with dsms because theres plenty of room to grow into, and always a demand for them if i have to sell them. and theres some differences between RC injectors and honda/dsm 450 injectors-i forgot the difference, but it has something to do with the spray pattern and combustion, and how RC is not as good a spray pattern or some shit.
youll have to do some of your own searching for that. im too lazy for anymore searching.
peace.

RC is not a good spray pattern, DSM injectors are. Stock and DSM injectors are pintle tip, RC uses lucas disc. I think there might be a pic in one of the stickies of the difference. 270's are too small, especially for 10 PSI. The stock injectors are 245 IIRC.

Well...that's a pisser! What size/brand should I go
for?
EDIT: I checked RC's flowchart again, and 270cc's seem
to be within range/reach of 200 bhp .
And ksniperfox, I'd go turbo, but I have a
brand new SC in the closet, and I'd never get my
money back for that, plus a DC SS header and other
crap that I'm not sure would work with a turbo.
Plus I just want that boost "down low" mainly.

So, assuming most engine components are stock (pistons, rods, etc) how would 10 psi on a JRSC effect engine and transmision longevity?
Man I cant wiat til spring to start my upgrades!
