emissions in texas

Does anyone know exactly what they look for in cars 95 and older for emissions in texas? I know for 96 and newer they baisically hook it up to a comp and if your check engine light isn't on you pass.

Answer

In texas, doesn't matter the age of ur car. Well, it does but. Regardless of the age, they still hook it up to a com and stick a long emissions deal in your tail pipe. Then the guy will get in ur car to run it at certain speeds. It's abuot $45 also.
