Post Critique threads: Guidelines for getting your image critiqued

I was speaking to Osama about possibly getting a subsection of photography for a critique forum. For all of the photography forums i belong to I find a critique section very useful for helping improves one's photography skills

with that said I want to spearhead a thread to try and make this useful.
Here are the rules:
1# if you post a comment make sure it is useful, I don't want to see any bashing of any sort.
2# if you find something out of place in a photograph or you just don't like it, explain.
3# I don't want to see "oh it sucks, i don't like it"..ok if you don't like it explain why.
4# don't get all defensive if someone doesn't like your work, of course you can rebutal and protect you style if you see fit (god knows i do it all the time)
5# please include your equipment used and exposure settings if you have them

No one is perfect and tastes and opinions vary amongst everyone. but i think it's safe to say we know a good photograph when we see one.

I shall start it off with a photograph of mine.

----------------------

Equipment: Canon EOS3, Canon EF 28-105mm 1:4-5.6 lense, Fujichrome Provia 100f film
Exposure Settings: unspecified

instead of a subsection, since the traffic currently doesnt warrant it at the time being, simply follow these guidelines for critique threads:

thread title:
Critique: *image title*
then post the image, give info about camera settings if u know them, give info about photo if u want and u will receive helpful criticism to better your photography

so dont be shy and post up your photos, i will handle any blatant hostile criticisms or people just being idiots, so dont worry.

hope to see some new critique threads

I dont know if it was intentional but the sky kinda looks grayed out... if that makes any sense. It looks cool though.. as if there was some kind of portal or something. Especially the way the clouds kinda swirl a bit with the purpleish-pinkish color.

I like the way there's enough like to know what you're looking at yet it still looks dark and shady.

Can you tell us about the location of the picture and time of day and such?

ok ok so wheres the pics?? i can be pretty helpful here, im not a photographer, but i worked in a print shop for 3 years, operated all the machines from prepress to finishing, andi like to photoshop and do 3d renders......know people in advertising and design, id be happy to help ppl improve

EDIT: ok i see it now, dman internet.......... the pic is nice it deffenently keeps a theme, but the wall looks a little mirrorish and untextured, plus the lack of a symetrical window keeps you wondering, somehow it looks something like a videogame render, good pic though, no disrespect intended

the color of the sky really sets apart from the homes that are gray and drak.. it gives the town a more vibrant feel
