critiques welcome on a little bit of hdr

well as you guys know, my photography is either hit or miss, and i don think this is my best work but hey i thought id post these up anyways.

i missed doing stuff in hdr so i decided to use it for this set. im not sure if it was needed or not (perhaps single exposure would have worked better) but i just wanted to use it today haha. im trying to make the most out of my camera before stepping up to a dslr so let me know how i did.

pics were taken with my sony dsc-t1 that was ghetto-rigged mounted to my tripod with double sided tape and rubber bands :P and i used photomatix for the hdr aspect of this set. then i touched stuff up in photoshop.

I am not really a fan of the first three pictures. I do not see a point in doing HDR on pictures with out much contrast. The pictures do look good but don't really turn my crank.

The 4th picture now that one I love. Just excellent.

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. What you do is take 3 photos of a scene. The first one is a step under exposed next exposed properly and the last a step over exposed. When you combine the photos in a program for HDR stitching you have an image with increadable dynamic range much greater than the stops capable by your camera.
