i like 7 and 8, maybe because landscape is what rubs me right.
what kind of camera are you using? you may want to consider cleaning the lens or something cause the pictures of the cars aren't in focus.
also pictures 9 and 11 your whites are nuclear.

not bad, but your compositions seem a little too static to me and i agree that some of your highlights are blown out

i know cars are kind of difficult to photograph (i'm notoriously bad at it, myself) but i'm sure you'll get the hang of it as time goes on.

in my opinion, the shot of the smokes and the one right after are kind of unnecessary and don't really go with the rest. on the plus side, i think your landscape shots are pretty good, i especially like the one where the road disappears into the fog.

and about what the last guy said about cleaning your lense or whatever, i'm not really sure what he's referring to. the cars may not be absolutely tack sharp, but it seems reasonably in focus to me. maybe he's seeing something i'm not, i dunno.

eh,

Pictures 3 and 8 are prob your best shots. Shot 3 is very artistic and a subdued kind of cool. Number 8 is very good. The way the road dissipears into the fog is great.

Shots 1 and 2 are just kind of dull. The color and black and white thing just does not do it for me.

4 Its a good shot but still its kind of dull and nothing overly great about the picture.

5 I like this pic. The idea is cool. It is a bit overexposed. You can edit it in lightroom and fix it right up with a few clicks.

6 A great idea for a picture. To me the light is just not working for you. This is one of those shots where you just have to get great light. I would cange the positioning of the car myself to make the car lead into the landscape from either the left or right side of the photo.

7. Is a good landscape you did it well.

9 and 11 These shots are way overexposed. What you need to do to get these look better is to look at the histogram on the camera and adjust till you get it right.

Good pics bro. Keep at it. The more pics you make the better you will get.

Great to hear that you got a D40. It is an excellent little camera. Have fun taking pictures with it.
