i've seen pictures of cars that are moving on the road but the car is crystal sharp and the background is blurred. i know you cant just use a regular tripod for this because then the car would be blurred (or just the wheels) and the background isnt which is the exact opposite of what i want to get. is there like a stand you can buy to mount onto the car and how much would that cost? are there any other methods of taking these type of photos?
about how much would the mount cost? i've thought about it and.. how are you suppose to take pictures with it? i dont think you can set your camera's timer to like 30 secs (well my cam cant do that) for each time you want to take a picture or you have to have a guy hanging out the door to press the button of the camera to snap a pic..

u need a mount, either custom made or bought from a store or online, they sell em. u can buy some for about 100bux. u can search ebay, or the next, stickypod.com i think is one. a camera with a long shutter exposure.
this is what you do.
you'll need the lighting out side kinda dark, maybe sunset time, about a 1/130 - 1/6 shutter depending on how dark it is. and you would most likely use the timer feature.
u dont need to drive fast. thats a misconception, about 2mph will do it. maybe 5mph, but not fast.
u turn the wheel, and drive in a circle.
also u can just stand and use the panning technique, have a person drive in a circle slowly and u set the camera shutter accordingly for the light and speed and just follow the car whil snapping the picture, everything in the background will be blurred.

yes, depending on if its visible, or what you're shooting, how close you are, or basically only if its visible...but u might have to touch up mount reflections/shadows.
unless you get those very very expensive high quality profesional metal/suction mounts that they use in the movies, you are gonna need to learn the ways of photoshop or an image editing prog.

I have remote shutter release so that would help. Check if you can get a remote system for your camera :clap EDIT: Otherwise of course a long shutter cable would do the job.
