New pics...C&C Welcome...

This is my first time shooting with the XTi. Critiques/comments are welcome. This was shot with the kit lens at Manual setting 1/5 3.5f ISO400 18mm.

I dont remember the setting on this one.

Here is another one i took outside my house. Still no tripod so i used my grandmas walker as a tripod, ha. neighbors were looking at me kinda weird.
Settings were 1 sec. f5 ISO 200 i think.

Both photos look great. In the 2nd one if there wasnt a big white truck it might actually look nice. Using my mind to delete it , yes it does.

also in the 2nd pic, the bench gets cut off and falls off the picture. would have been a little nicer if you could get the back support to show or just take the bench out of the picture, but what do i know

not bad for no tripod though. i remember i had to do the exact same thing you did when i was playing with my point and shoot camera

The first one has a nice composition, but the picture if out of focus. If the picture was focus in one of those candles it would look a lot better.

The 2nd one is nice, the sky looks really great. For some reason to me that picture looks like it is tilted a little bit.

No, I mean slanted like the left side seems to be higher than the right side.
