ingredients:
oil (or butter)
garlic
onion
mushrooms
steak
soy sauce
pepper
hard boiled quail eggs (opt)
the quantities will vary to taste...so go ahead and explore w/ this
1. peel then dice garlic into fine chunks as well as the onions, but slice those into bite size pieces
2. slice your shrooms vertically
3. cut meat into 1cm thick fillets
4. pour enough oil (butter can be a substitution) to lightly grease a large pan over a medium high heat
5. put cut garlic and onions into pan and fry until browned. turn occassionally while frying.
6. once browned, add the meat and fry to your desired cookness. most filipinos prefer it well done, however, but i find that a little dry if you reheat the left overs
7. once the meat is practially done cooking, pour soy sauce into the pan (enough to cover whats in the pan). turn down the heat to low fire and let simmer for 15 minutes stirring the mixture constantly. add pepper to taste also now would be the time the eggs go in if you want. add water if it's too salty
8. turn off stove and serve over steamed rice. finished product should have alot of soy sauce as a "gravy" type covering
