mostly it's just the amount of intake. My wife and I are both on a plan that limit's us to 1300 cal. per day. this way if we don't lose any weight, we won't be gaining any either. it's tough, but it's doable. Mostly whole foods, and A LOT of portion control. you'd be surprised just how big a serving is. I'll see if I can pst some examples of our food list later.

Anything that isn't processed. Foods in their natural state have a better effect on your body. Lean meats are ideal, like chicken breast. Portion control is key. I eat a lot of oatmeal, granola, yogurt, fruit, veggies.

What is your main goal? To just get in better shape? Or to drop a few pounds and incorporate an exercise routine into that as well?

this past year i've been eating healthy. no junk food AT ALL. i normally never ate junk food anyways. i'm on a strict diet now. 6000+ calories - 200 grams of protein - low saturated fat - low carbs. i eat things like fish, chicken breasts, beans, vegetables, rice, tofu, etc. thats my daily diet. i always had trouble gaining weight but in the past 7 months i've gained about 40 pounds. more than i've ever gained in my life. this was the help of whey protein powder and eating healthier. CIVICIMPORT if you're looking to lose weight stay away from carbs and sugar. stored carbs and sugar in the body turn into fat. ie, bread, potatoes. if you want to lose 1 pound you must burn approximately 3 500 more calories then you are taking in i believe. i run on the treadmill for 1 hour at 6km/hr and i'm only burning like 750 calories haha, so it's tough.

depending on your health condition. For me, since im diabetic, I had to go with a low carb, high protein and fiber diet. Lost a very good bit of weight, and i started toning up at the gym.

-You want to eat small meals 6 times a day
-Space them out 2-3 hours apart
-Avoid anything that has "high fructose corn syrup", "corn syrup", "partially hydrogenated", and "hydrogenated" in the ingredients label. You'd be amazed how many things have this shit in it
-Avoid white rice (eat brown), white bread (eat 100% whole-wheat), pasta(unless its whole wheat), flour tortillas (eat whole wheat tortillas)
- Don't drink any soda at all, even diet soda is bad
-Drink a lot of water, aim for 1 gallon a day
- Eat lots of lean meats such as turkey, tuna, boneless skinless, chicken
- Limit red meat intake
-Eat lots of vegetables, mostly dark green ones such as spinach, broccoli, leafy lettuces and greens
- Instead of potatoes eat yams
- Drink non-fat or 1% milk
-Avoid junkfoods at all costs

This is a brief summary of a healthy way of eating that will guarantee results as long as youre strict and consistent. Just let me know if you have any questions.

The things I eat the most of are:

-rice
-steamed veggies
-salmon
-lamb for sunday roast
-lots of salad
-a shitload of tomatoes
-pasta
-chicken
-beef

and drink lots of water...also take daily vitamins.

I don't really restrict myself from anything...just try to eat everything in moderation and generally avoid sugary foods.
