I saw this new product in my local store and had to try it out.
It's produced by Gekkeikan and looks like this:
As far as taste, it's 7% alcohol so it doesn't have too hard of a kick. When I first sipped it my first thought was that it tasted like a ultra light beer. Not much body, light carbonation, etc. but the aftertaste was definitely a sake flavor.
Way less carbonated then soda.
I took a couple shots & then started cutting it 50/50 with CC Lemon (a light lemon tasting soda from Japan) on the rocks. Taking it straight wasn't so great, but as a mixer it was pretty good.
