Stuffed Mushrooms

it's actually REALLY easy to make.

what you need:
12 mushrooms (duh)
1/8 onion
1/8 green bell pepper
shrimp or crab meat is optional
1/2 cup italian breadcrumbs
1/2 stick butter
grated mozerella cheese

small frying pan
baking pan

prep:

wash shrooms and take off the stems.

finely chop the stems, onion and bell pepper and shrimp/crab meat.

from the stick of butter, cut a small portion off. just enough to lightly grease a skillet.

cook the shroom caps to a light brown color, then place them onto a baking pan so the bottoms are facing up.

put the rest of the butter into the skillet and cook the chopped goods w/ the bread crumbs.

the breadcrumbs should soak up all of the butter and become somewhat pastey acting like a glue to keep the veggies/seafood together.

set oven to bake at 325*F

remove skillet from heat and proceed to stuff shroom caps. first w/ a small layer of cheese, then veggies, then a thick layer of cheese on top again. jam as much of the stuffing as possible into each cap.

put mushrooms into oven for 15 minutes.
