I have a quick question that I can't find an answer to..
Is the 1996-1997 JDM Integra Type-R 4-2-1 header (2.5" Collector) the same piece as the oem B16B 4-2-1 header? I know after 98+ the ITR went to the 4-1 design, but the earlier models, did they share the same exhaust manifold as the B16b?
4-1, 4-2-1 does not make any noticeable difference to me really. The 4-2-1 gives a little more backpressure and makes it a little more torquier, but not that much, either way the top end (what matters on hondas) is better with a 4-1 design, but its your call.
From what I read, the headers are a 4-1 design like the ITR. I could be wrong, but thats what I have heard.
Either or, all these manifolds will bolt right up to the longblock and you can always get the collector size adapted to fit your exhaust. I did mine by myself, but you can always get a muffler shop to do it for like pocket change depending upon where you go.

That wasn't my question.. I have a JDM ITR '97 spec header, that is 4-2-1 with a 2.5" collector.
My question is, is this '97 header and a B16B header, the same product? After +98 all the JDM ITRs were 4-1, but the Civic Type-R remained 4-2-1, Im wondering if the early 4-2-1 ITR header and the CTR header are the same thing.
Thanks to anyone else with some light on this subject.
