Cat question...

I have 99,000 miles on my R now, and I could be wrong, but I think I am hearing the beginning of the degradation of my catalytic converter. My GSR sounded this way when it started to go. I rather like the Comptech gear that I have already, and if I am right, and do need one, I might get the Comptech part. If I do need it, would you, the gurus of this board, recommend that I get the whole "Power Pro" exhaust from Comptech, or just the stock cat. If I go stock, I could continue to use the current muffler for some time to come. If I get the Comptech stuff, I would be buying the muffler along with the cat. I know I would probably get a few extra horses with the Comptech, and I would probably like the sound, too. But, I also see value in keeping the car mostly stock. Any opinions?

Thanks!

I have a Carsound race cat on my R and I love it...if you buy a stock cat from the dealership it could cost you about $500 or so from what I have heard. Ideally though, a full cat back system including a race cat would be the best...good luck.
