always a car i fantasized about when i had my civic...
I remember going to the drag strips and seeing those things bone stock rip up the 1/4 mile in under 15 seconds...
now i always debate this question... what would be considred as an upgrade from my current lude.... and ITR or S2k??

The Type R is a fantastic car but, i wouldnt consider it an upgrade from a prelude. Your lude pretty much has about the same amount of power and torque as the ITR and with some minor modifications you will be beating on the ITR at both the track and the drag strip I you really want a upgrade I think you should go with the S2k! Theres alot of S2k members on this forum that were previous luders asking this same question couple years ago.

STock for stock sure but theres alot of ludes with some good suspension work runing the same times at the autox events as a ITR
well im talkin stock for stock, even in a straight line the ITR is still faster. Ive seen 4 or 5 all go 14.4 in the 1/4 compleltly stock and full interior. Preludes are low 15s cars

agreed, i think im more inclined towards the s2k anyways.
I've heard nothing but satisfaction among former lude owners when they switch over to the s2k.
I think its the slightly higher rev's im craving for, without any compromise in displacement.... i think i'll got with an AP2
(Sorry buddy, didnt mean to side track your thread here...)

ITR's are amazing cars.
But they got too much of the boy-racer image for my liking.

Both the AP1 and AP2 are nice! I just love the 9,000 rpm redline on the AP1 but the AP2 has a nicer exterior look more redefined

stock to stock the itr has an obvious advantage modded it could go either way. h22 is a great platform to build a fast street car with, with bolt ons alone they dont play.
