Massive Question: Why have we not recived a type-r civic in the states?
And if so, do you think we will soon? I mean to be real, it's a highly wanted car here and I'm not sure why they have not gave us a chance to have it and for them to make money.
because when they first came out we already had the integra type r. honda isnt going to bring two type r models over here that will compete against each other in a market where only a select few will truely use these cars to their potential. in japan that's a different story.
dont hold your breath waiting for a ctr stateside anytime soon.
Ok, lets say you have a 95 civic coupe and you want to do all the styling from the engine to the interior of a type-r even though it did not come out in that way, how would you go about it?
So now that neither one is here in current form, we will not get one?
i dont think honda wants to bring over another performance car when they already have the s2000. if they did, it would be in the same market as the rsx-s. but since honda will be phasing out both those models soon, who knows.
Integra Arsenal:
1991 LS Special Ed- Sold.
1997 GSR- 192whp 130wtq all motor. SOLD
1991 GS- automatic daily driver. FOR SALE. $1500 PM for details.
1998 Nissan 240SX SE New!
And a 2000 Suzuki SV650
Anyways, gutless high revving engines do nothing for the general american buyer. Yes you can say that there will be a market and there will. But when you do something like bringing the car over to the states, you want to make money. If you can't why do it.
You can have a much better low end powerplant compared to the CTR or even the current ITR (which is our RSX btw).
Too many current cars in the market that will be a better deal cost wise.
