new ITR owner

Hey guys I just bought a 2000 yellow type r. I love the car, i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what i can do to the car, would i benifit from advancing my timing if so to how many degrees, also the car came with apexi N1 cat back, does anyone know what diameter is the piping because i was thinking of running 2.5in piping with the dc sports race header with a 2.5in collector? Any other suggestions... Thanks a lot Greg

Congratulations on owning one of the most capable Stock Race Cars AVAILABLE.

Do NOTHING to it now.

Learn how to drive and drive it! Learn Everything about the car, learn it's sounds.

Appreciate the car, Then;

Take it to a local Autocross! And REALLY Learn. Or you could hit a Performance driving school.

Read my advice about what to do Before you start modding.

It's a great hobby but, look before you leap.

GoTo my buddy Daves Site to see some cars in action "even me" and learn how to get involved in racing and AutoCross, It is an exhilarating experience.

Good luck,

Congrats on the car! The first thing I would do, if I ever have a chance to own a Type R, is buy a good quality alarm. It's a beautiful car, but it attracts to much attention, good and unfortunatly bad too. Good luck and have fun with your new car.

congrats on the r! wish i had one too.

btw don't waste your money on alarms. no matter what antitheft device you have in your car theives will still take it if they want it (which they do).
