NSX Type R ECU location

Hi guys. I'm a new member on this board. Registered to help with my research for a web story based on some cars featuring an NSX Type R. And yes, I do love the car a lot.

My first question is the location of the ECU unit in the 2002 JDM Type R. One of my friend tells me it's located somewhere in front of the passenger's seat. Is he right? And what tools are required to access it?
