STUCK ON 20's
Hey guys,
I have CIVIC TYPE R 07 model uk not jap. It currently sits on 18x7.5 rims stock right my question is if i want to get new kicks for example 20x8.5 rims will the performance of the car decrease?
Changing to 20's i know may look flashy n will get the girls but my question is will the car turn into a girl if 20's replace the stock....
THE LOOOOKKKK or THE PERFORMANCE ......
i know 19's can be done but am i wasting my time forking out big on 20's
Can someone help.....

To my knowledge all type R's are 5 lug, (Hint: Thats the bolt pattern on your wheels)
Seriously, do not get fuckin 20 in. rims.
1.) There rice the type R is a nice performance car, not a fuckin bling bling mobile, if you wanted 20's buy a fuckin Cadillac.
2.) They will hurt your cornering and acceleration performance quite a bit. So if you have any plans on having fun with this car, you will be limited a lot by your humongous rims. However, the larger rims will give you higher top end speed.
My advice, is don't be a noob and buy 20's, either leave the stock rims on, or find a similar performance wheel that you perhaps like better in the same size.

I am not trying to put him down, just trying to talk some sense into him. Riceing out your ride only impresses idiots, And no one wants to impress idiots except other idiots, and I dont think this guy is an idiot. and I am only trying to turn him into a proper automotive enthusiast thats all. A type R will impress almost everyone. Except Joe Blow with a 97 ex and a fart can with VTAC sticker that give him over 400 horse power.
