i think they will bring it but not call it the CTR for sales reasons...they wont want to take sales away from the RSXR when it gets here. I dont really care what the hell its called as long as it kicks ass.

I do hope you guys in the US get the new Civic Type R real soon.
CTR owners in UK are over the moon with theirs.

i don't think there will be any more R anytime soon.
why?
it will kill the sales figures..
Civic-r will kill the RSX-S
and the RSX isn't doing so good right now....
and i don't think the RSX-R will be over here, as ACURA is kinda bitchy on making dough....
the explanantion that a rep gave me, was, it don't make enough to justify to bring it over(cost v. profit ratio?)...mmm? so they making the CL and TL -s a 6 spd now? when they don't think it justify when they first came out...what crap..
but as of now i am sure there are no plan in existence...

I would take an older civic type R over the new ones anyways. IMO, they look a better. And I dont think I could ever get over that shifter. I would rather spend my money trying to import one over then spend it on a new "cough" focus...or i mean civic.

I heard that the JDM CTR is even faster than the JDM ITR.

You'll be surprise how fast you get used to things! Everybody who have tested the new Civic Si/SiR says the shifter is awesome and all cars should put their shifter there.

icic, I never seen them run together myself in any video yet. But it will definitely a close race, right?

that's why they're bringing the ctr and rtr at the same time. rtr is faster than ctr, rts is faster than c si.

I hope Best Motoring will be releasing a video on the new JDM ITR vs new JDM CTR soon. By the way, last week on the British television they showed the new CTR taking on the S 2000. Guessed who won? The CTR pipped the S2000 at the last corner. Many people thought it was a staged race.
