curious observation...
i found it interesting, after looking through all the different pics of the fit/jazz in my usual batch of road & track, car and driver, and japanese magazines like honda style, and option that the bumper designs are so different...
why, in the us, would we have a front bumper design that mimics the refreshened tsx's?
and in japan, it mimics the s2000?
wouldn't it have made sense to go with the s2000 since there is a familial tie to another honda, rather than a car that is supposed to exist apart as a seperate brand?
in the end, it would have cost honda more to manufacture 2 separate front bumper designs when one would do fine...

it wouldnt cost any more or any less.. its a different car.. so they would need a different mold..so it would cost the same price to make any bumper (minut materials and shit)

it's all good...
i'm sleepy as it is... so maybe i'm not understanding things myself...
why would honda create a whole new bumper design just for the us market?
it could have used the same one that's used in europe and asia, is what i meant...

ya isee what u mean now.. but look at it this way to.. they have there own plants over there where they make the jdm cars.. and they have plants here to make usdm cars.. they make LHD and RHD dashes they make alot of things different maybe they feel one will suit the puplic more over here. i dont know
Here in North America Honda had to add reinforcement beams to the front and rear of the Fit, making the USDM Fit slightly longer to meet safety issues. People trying to get the JDM headlights need a whole frontal conversion, from removal of the beam, new fenders, new hood and then a JDM bumper, all to have the JDM headlights Remember I tried putting that GTSpec rear reinforcement bar only to find that the USDM Fit already has a beefier reinforcement, that is absent in Fits from other parts of the world (someone correct me if I'm wrong here).
