GTSpec Rear Strut Brace & Cage. (Fit)

Looks pretty nice to me! :w00t Good to see more aftermarket peeps supporting the USDM Fit.

"Rear Strut Brace" (Lower arms running lengthwise of the car are part of the "Cage" set up.)

"Trunk Cage"

Sweet!!! If only I didn't have to carry a lot of equipment for work, I'd happily put one of those in! I even like the color, although blue powder coat would be even better for my white Fit

why would it not fit? wouldn't the cardboard fit underneath?
anyway, don't you have a cargo cover so that your equipment isn't visible?

forgot to mention...

the wedding pics and video arrived from japan a couple of weeks ago...

Okay, tried installing the GTSpec rear bumper reinforcement but I found out our USDM Fit already comes with a beefy reinforcement for crash protection I guess. I could've removed the steel reinforcement and put the GTSpec bar in (and probably shave off some hefty pounds off the Fit), but I sided with the factory stuff. In a crash steel beats aluminum for strength. Here are the pics from today:

That last shot are the bolts that would be used to attach the GTSpec bar to the Fit. They are tucked inside that steel reinforcement.

talk about shades of the past...

i remember when you documented the removal of the front bumper of the civic...

as for this...
i did tell you that the fit was constructed like a race car...
the chassis is a helluva base for an AUTOCROSS DEMON!!! HA HA HA!!!

i can't wait to see this thing, even with your compromised (all season high performance) tires, take on the miatas, bmws, and porsches all day at nassau coliseum...

hmmm...
i wonder how much that steel reinforcement weighs as opposed to the aluminum piece...

I'm sure that beam weighs a lot, but I wouldn't trade safety for a mere extra pounds. I'm still waiting on word about the 4-point front lower tie bar. Hope I can get it this week

Speaking of losing weight, if I left that battery pack (pictured in the trunk) at home, I'd save 23 pounds!
