J's Racing pillar bar

I just recently got mine from A&J Racing, it makes very little difference in how the car handles, not very noticeable, but that could be a testament to just how well built the Fit already is. I'm sure the bar does improve rigidity, and as I said, it DOES make a very little difference. Here are the pics:

The instructions that came with the bar were in Japanese, so I just took a guess at what the two thick washer rings were for. I tried adding the rings to each side before screwing in the bolts, but I found removing one of the factory washers and replacing them with the thicker J's Racing washer worked better. It seemed like a very straight forward install otherwise, but it was kinda hard to screw the bolt on the left side back into place. Don't know if I was pushing the bolt at an angle or whatever, but it took me like 30 minutes of contorting my body in that trunk to get the bolt screwed in place I also had to make cuts on the plastic covers for the seatbelt bracket thingy. With the bar installed the plastic covers would not stay in place. I just cut at that point to make it easy for me to access the bolt when necessary. Looks good now that it's in place, and I'm going to use the bar to hang some of my dry cleaned shirts and pants - it's a double duty add-on

i doubt you've driven to the limit to where you'd feel a difference.

drive on a track with and without one, then you'll have a true comparison.

Yeah, I haven't pushed the Fit to its limits, and I'm on the fence about the autocross... can I just race and not keep running around to fetch the cones? And also, I like photographing the event - who's going to take good pictures of me racing? I gotta bring one of my photographer friends to the event

Nice purchase!
yes, just installing a rear pillar bar won't give you much differences. Remember, parts have to work in harmony and not just individually.
