That's what they told me at both Honda dealerships I went to. One in De Kalb Illinois and the other in Crystal Lake Illinois. Both about an hour to an hour and a half outside of Chicago.
Yeah, it's nuts... I don't think they anticipated demand like this.
just wanted to add to everyone else's story......as of August 8, I have been on the waiting list for 3 months! And there is no sure date for arrival YET ! Apparently i added to my wait time by insisting on a 5 speed. American buyers are purchasing in the neighborhood of 70-80 % automatics, so Honda has delayed production of my manual FIT. I guess people need that right hand free to talk on the phone, drink coffee, play with their Ipods, and whatever else people do in the car with their right hands........instead of rowing thru the gears.
I'm thinking it'll be worth the wait to get what i want. My wife has been waiting the same time for her Civic EX......with the 5 speed, of course
Mods: CDA intake. 20psi. 3" full exhaust. Bailey's dv.
That sucks you're waiting that long, come to the dealership where I work, we've got everything with every option Oh I was just wondering how do you guys know how hot your engine is? I don't think there's a temperature gauge in the fit. That seems kind a strange to me.

You do the same as when barbecuing... put your hand over the engine and slowly bring it close to the block counting "one-one thousand, two-one thousand, three-one thou... ouch!" There was a device that hooked up to the car computer and displayed that kind of information... I forgot the name of the brand, seemed simple enough, no bell and whittles to make it so darn expensive as those Blitz, Greddy, and other brands that charge over $200 for such a simple device

I've found that device I was talking about, and have put an order for one:

Here's a pic of he ScanGauge II:
Note: the backlightig can be adjusted to 63 color combinations, plus it can be used to read car codes.
And here are a few pics of the J's Racing pillar bar I put in, as well as the ceiling light (before and after animation):
As soon as I get my GTSpec strut bar, trunk cage, and both 2-point and 4-point front tie bars, I'll post pics as well.

Nothing new, still pretty much stock. I've since added that JDM roof console that I've modified, and am waiting on the GTSpec parts to arrive. I'll post more after I have those parts installed.

I likey. It'd look 10x better if you took the front plate off your car before shooting these, though, and then filling in the holes in Photoshop. Very nice, otherwise!
Yeah, I know, I wasn't too happy with the location, it didn't have a direct view of the ocean as I thought it would, so I didn't bother. When I find a better location I'll take the plates off.
