Hey guys...i own a honda jazz i-dsi 1.5..u guys have any idea what can i upgrade for this car?..pls help list down the mods i could do for the car..turbo,exhaust,engine swap etc..pls recommend
What is the Fit?...in malaysia we don't have Fit...just jazz..are they the same?..what exterior body kits could i do for my car?..
and what are those mugen body kit stuff?
Pls bear with me..i'm kinda new in this kinda stuff...just wanna experiment and see what the jazz could do with some added horsepower and better looks =p

So you're in Malaysia? Try your local Honda groups for more info, asked around for Wong Kong-Ngai, he's the webmaster and writer for asia.vtec.net, so you can't go wrong there.
As for mods, there's plethora of them... I/H/E is available as well as electric supercharger and turbocharger. HKS Thailand has some turbo kits you can order. If I'm not mistaken, you can also acquire Mugen Fit Dynamite underbody aero cover.
Fit is Jazz and vice versa, just a different name to distinguish JDM and the rest of the world. But the 1.5 i-DSi engine is strictly Jazz though, Fit only has 1.3 i-DSi engine and 1.5 is strictly VTEC, whereas the rest of the world has a choice of either 1.5 i-DSi or 1.5 VTEC.

i am from indonesia.
i have a Honda jazz 1.5 i-dsi.
the difference between jazz and fit is:
1. Fit is japan built jazz and jazz is Thailand built Fit.
2. in indonesia, jazz has been localy built for indonesian region customers.
so, there's 3 different jazz built in indonesia( jazz CKD, thai's Jazz CBU, and imported japan's Fit CBU).
3. 2005 version of fit are already have an LED stop light(i love it! because it only have 2 layers of color...... not 3!!!).
4.fit are already have a moonroof........
jazz/fit's engine space is so small so if you want to add a set of turbo intercooler, it will be so hectic......fiuh......
even when i want to add my additional horn for my car i must open my front left fender to mount it there!(i dont have any idea to mount my new horn ...........)
oh! 1 more thing......
maybe on the next time i will post indonesian modified jazz/fit for you...........

i think its quite popular because on the 1st debut in 2003(several imported Fit) & 2004(CBU i-dsi Jazz), it have no rival such as Suzuki Swift, Toyota Vitz, etc......
also it have the "price". In jazz's 1st debut, the price for M/T is 125 million Rupiah which is around 12.500 us dollar and the A/T one is about 135 million.
so..... its a cheap car (Note: for a Honda).
that makes 'em booming in here(especially in jakarta).......

it have 7gears that can switched to semi-auto(i've lost my race with my friend that have a city that have the same i-dsi engine with A/T ).......
but at that time(when we came to the car lot) my dad wants the M/T one...
so........
i have an M/T right now........
but in the future.... maybe my dad wants to buy the A/T one.
because my car have been crashed at the highway(somebody hits me from the back ).......

What car did you used? City and Jazz i-DSi aren't built for speed, although I managed to run on par with a 307sw, I drive Jazz i-DSi CVT with a simple header-intake upgrade.
my car was jazz i-dsi M/T(5 Speed)..........
it's just a little race though..... between me and my friend........
we take a highway from our school to his home and we usualy do some race to either compare our ride and our guts on the way to his home.... hahahahahaha...........
i've lost it because of the 5(M/T) and 7(A/T)Speed difference........
i know that my car was built to be an efficiant city car but......
i still cant hold my willing to speeding at such a "boundless" highway..........

I believe you are implying that you lost because you have a 5MT and your friend wins because he has the CVT? I know you already stated that, but I think you lost because of lack of experience, not because of the gearbox. Sure the CVT promises to be more power efficient than the regular auto box, but still, CVT is an auto box and it will eat up a bit more power from the engine than a manual box.
Jazz/City 7 speed auto is not a real 7 speed gear box, it's a pseudo 7 speed gear box which means that the engine has a preset of gear ratio and automatically selects the best ratio according to engine load. So basically, Jazz/City CVT only has (theoritically) 1 (one) gear, which can varies its own ratio.
Learn to shift right at the engine sweet spot, where you feel the engine doesn't pull anymore (just revving). Try to shift faster and all that... Even an Avanza/Xenia can take on a CVT Jazz if the driver is skillfull enough.
Oh and please try to learn it on a big open areas like Sentul or Pulomas public driving training ground. Don't be silly about learning to drive fast on public highway like those Vios and Innova drivers.

Just for additional info, the headlamp reflector can be easily removed and painted to match the body color.

If you drive the i-DSi Jazz/City... Nope, it's quite silly really to compare Honda i-DSi engine to any other modern 1.5L engine out there in terms of outright power. It is geared towards fuel efficiency and low speed driving, and that's about it. No wonder the US got strictly the VTEC variant.
And dude... Not being old or something, but you should step back a little from your friend... Seriously. i have stopped my behavior to speeding at public street right now.....
and i realized that my sattelite silver 1.5 i-dsi jazz was so beautiful enough to catch my eyes again and again everytime i wash my car, make it clean, etc.
and yeah!
Honda is far better from that "boy thing"!!!!
but my time in indonesia is not long enough to go.....
