Thumbs up ScanGauge II

Today I got my ScanGauge II and tried it out on a short trip to get lunch. Works well, and so far seems accurate. I'm taking it for a longer drive tonight (mostly highway), let's see what it reports. Here are some pics of the unit:

I'm going to tack the wire with some hot glue so it stays more or less flush. I didn't put it in the middle of the dash because I already have my TomTom navigation device there and didn't want more wire clutter to show.

The ScanGauge II manual contains the meaning of the abreviations used for each of the gauge functions (page 6):

Just in case someone wants to know, every gauge function works on the Fit, except FPR (fuel pressure) which very few cars report anyway.

Using the ScanGauge II helped improve my milage slightly, from my average 27mpg to 28mpg But the backlighting can be hard to read when you're driving, so I switched from blue to green, which made the screen much easier and faster to read the gauge data. Finally there's a way to tell how hot the engine (the coolant running through it) gets while driving. I could see how intake air gets cooler once the car is in movement, so the benefits of a CAI over an SRI get a bit less pronounced. I'm very happy with it so far.
