Basically the same dealie-o as the K&N kit, except that it's $3 cheaper then the K&N at my local parts store.
Just a quick re-cap of how it works.
1. Remove filter from car.
2. Gently tap/brush away loose particles from the filter surface.
3. Apply cleaning chemicals
4. Let sit for 10 minutes.
5. Rinse w/ cold water from the inside out.
6. Air dry the filter.
7. Apply filter oil.
8. Reinstall filter into car.
Here's what it looked like:
The Fram kit with my dirty AEM filter.
Before cleaning.
After cleaning & oiling. I didn't really want to hold the camera with the oil on my hands, so after taking the pic. I went back and lightly touched up the areas that the oil hadn't evenly spread to.
As the cleaning chemicals smell pretty funky, I'd suggest cleaning the kit in a well ventilated (yet breeze free) enviroment. Also even though this was my first time using the Fram kit, it seems like there's more then enough chemicals left for multiple cleanings. So it's not a "one use" item.
