changes in temperature and other conditions will also yield a +/- of 4hp

because greddy is carb legal. also, just because the piping is bigger, doesn't mean it's better. the greddy and dc headers are designed the way they are for a reason.
dc isn't a bank breaker and neither is greddy. i don't think 100 or so dollars is worth not being able to wait and break some shit in your motor because of a crappy part. this goes for any part. keep in mind you're also paying for a header that's carb exempt. i don't think megan is carb exempt.

I want one :)
Does Megan have one for a 2k1 civic ?
Mugen... 35whp? is that just with that bolt on... or do you have to do alot of other costly crap too.... I wouldn't pay close to 1 large for headers on a civic..lol maybe for a Type R integra or something... LOL

be thankful you can't get one for your car.....it's a piece of shit header.
one of the garages i worked for used to sell them, and trust me when i say it's a piece of shit....oh and i just found out one of the biggest ricers from back in my highschool days works for megan now. he swears his 4door automatic accord w/ unpainted body kit can beat ITRs.

does he have a red accord? haha, there was one that revved on me on the freeway, so i revved back but dumped it right back into 5th while he happily raced off into the night and i cruised towards the exit.
anyway, why don't you guys listen to al? megan is like.. matrix.. or apc. imagine putting a matrix or apc header on your car? ew.

Yea, i too got mine for $159 and got it installed for $106 so it is an excellent bargain header for the performance gain u get, well i got anyway. it gave me good top end pull and its a pull that u can feel. i got the ss kind and now i got the bronze color goin but although ive heard that headers in general make ur exhaust sound loud, i didnt listen and now just the performace muffler(cause i dont have a full cat-back exhaust) sounds soo loud even with the silencer on there. its only from 3k to 4k. i dont know if i like that or not. but anyway the megan header is an excellant purchase, inexpensive and a good power adder. i give 'em an A. not an A+ cause the sound of my muffler.

here is my review it looks EXACTLY like the dc why havent they been sued to hell yet lol.
2000 Civic EX 5 speed
Ok the instlation was a brezze basicly take the old crusty one off and slide the freshly wraped one it. I got the wrap from summitracing.com(the dei wrap get the 2" wide by 50ft long if your gona wrap). to get the header to bolt up completley I had to bend the bracket that hangs behind the oil pan a little other then that went smoth as butter.
Pros
The top end of the cars powerband now screems much better and it looks much cleaned under the hood now then the heat shield. Also the under hood temps have gone down becasue of the heat wrap, very pleased
Cons
i have lost some tq below 3500-4000rpm, its not much but very noticable makes city driving a little harder. also to get the old o2 sensor out was very hard and it broke had to buy a new one(time to change at 100k so not a problem)
Cost
Ok the header with both gaskets was 95 bucks shipped, got if from a guy on SHO it is a Stainless Steel 4-2-1 1 pice DC sports rip-off.
The wrap is by DEI and it cost 35 bucks shipped
The new Universal o2 sensor by Bosch was 100 bucks, oem honda is 220
Ill post the dyno chart as soon as I have spare cash to go to the dyno.

Hey guys. my down pipe just broken and is real loud and I was looking at prices for a new one and its around 100 bucks. So, I was think that i might as well get the 2 piece set from OBX or megan for a little more. I have a few questions about it since im kinda new to this. Which one is better between the 2? How much louder will it make the exhaust? Will i need that small pipe between the end of the downpipe and the catalytic converter? what is ment by those numbers 4 2 1 ect? Any advice is much appreciated.

get the megan its better then OBX(slightly) It definetley makes it louder in the high RPM thats % shure. Mine is snowmobile like, but in the low rpm its nice and loappy and deep. I like it with the heat wrap helps ALOT!

megan sucks and so does obx....do NOT put that cheap shit onto your car!!!!
the garage i used to work at sold megan products and i can't even begin to describe how CHEAP we got them for and how many customers who did buy them come back to replace them w/ something higher quality.
there are three things to performance: power, price, and reliability....you're only allowed to have two, however in the case of megan or obx, you get only the price benefit.
